Although sometimes I may spend up to about 12-14 hours in a single day at campus, I find it very hard not to be occupied with something.
Here, I've dedicated a page to the things which I like to do the most (and probably can't live without). These inclued:
- Reading
- My Family
- The Internet
Reading
I have always liked reading from about age 6, and it is still part of my lifestyle. My interest in books has changed over the years so here's what my collection includes today:
- Religious Books on:
- Marrige
- Teenage Sexuality
- Bible Study
- Computer Literature
- Men's magazines
My Family
Though some people may not consider it to be a hobbie, I do enjoy spending time at home with my family. Watching Asha play and trying to understand what she is saying when trying to talk can be quite entertaining and stress relieving.
The Internet
-
The way I see it, you can never appreciate the use of a computer at home until you get on the Internet. It's almost like being able to travel all over the world without leaving the room you're in. Things that you can explore are:
- Internet Relay Chat or I.R.C.
- Ideal for chatting to people all over the world from your keyboard or in some cases using audio. You can meet hundreds of people. Some of these people have been known to get married!
- World Wide Web or www
- This is where most of the time is spent searching and browsing information at different web sites.
- Electronic Mail or E-mail
- The most popular use of the Internet. Sending messeges even quicker then express mail and a whole lot cheaper.
It's also great for downloading great software for free. I spend about 1 hour a day or about 8-10 hours a week on the Internet and sometimes more if I really get going on the I.R.C., and like I say,
" If it ain't on the 'net, then it doan exist! "
